Pets who have share the same household and family can become very attached to each other and no matter how long they have been together they can have shared many things and developed dependant relationships.

Pets, just like humans, can experience various feelings of grief, loss, pain and go through a mourning period when they lose a close companion. By utilizing a professionalanimal communicator you can accomplish many goals in helping the cherished surviving pet overcome the grief.

A True Story

Before you rush out to get a new pet for the whole family, consider this true story. One of our clients was missing their dearly departed cat who lived a full life to 21 years old. His brother, who was at age 19 was clearly missing him. He was showing signs of depression, grief and loneliness.

Since everyone in the home worked or went to school during the day and the house was empty, they thought the surviving senior cat needed a companion right away. Within a day or two a new younger cat was in the house, lots of energy, fluffy and very cute. The new cat was introduced properly and took to the senior cat right away. She also got a lot of attention and affection from everyone in the family since she was new and extremely friendly.

The surviving senior cat never seemed to quite take to the new cat and seemed to grow deeper into depression as time passed. It wasn't very much longer before it appeared that he just seemed to lose interest in everything, and soon he too was gone.

What Had Happened?

The family was so grief stricken. They reached a point where they arranged for an animal communication session to help with the grief. They were shocked to discover the senior cat the most recently departed felt like he was being replaced by the younger cat and that the family didn't need him any longer. He passed away somewhat broken hearted and just wanted to be with his brother.

From the family's perspective it couldn't be further from the truth, they all loved both senior cats with all their hearts, but it was too late to correct the error with the second brother.
