For many of us, the healing arts is part of our journey along a spiritual path, a transformational process, and a way of living. Creating a healing environment frees the body's own healing mechanisms and frees one's own soul to heal, forming a unity of the body, mind, and spirit.

You will often find intuitive healers are very creative, right brain thinking people, and that completely defines Thom. It has been not only a journey, but a way of life for him, his entire life. Animals have always given Thom the greatest joy and freedom in his life, so he is grateful and proud to be able to give healing back to them as an animal communicator and Reiki for animals Master. Thom has been surrounded by so many different types of loving, caring animals all his life. Animals who have taught him the understanding and compassionate care which he utilizes towards all living beings every day. Domestic and wild animals have blessed him continuously with their presence, trust, guidance, humor and wisdom.

Animal Communication with Wildlife

Like most of us, Thom was able to communicate with animals as a child, and although most of us lose that ability as we grow up and enter the adult world, he was able to maintain these skills throughout his life, thanks in large part to being raised in a family that were all communicators with animals in one form or another.

His grandfather would take him on long walks in the woods with their beagle hound, sometimes lasting all day (if their dog Dewey decided to chase the rabbits.) During these walks his Grandfather would bestow great wisdom that Thom remembers and utilizes to this day. Thom's mother and sister were equally gifted with animals and their home was always full of wonderful pets. From childhood through adulthood he always had pets surrounding him like dogs, cats, fish, birds, mice, lizards, and pet rabbits. Trips to neighborhood farms and zoos were always on the top of his family's agenda.

The Gift of Reiki Healing

A little over 20 years ago Thom was given the gift of a animal Reiki healing from a dear friend when one of his closest pets was passing away from cancer. Since then his skills and knowledge of fighting the dreaded disease of cancer has grown immensely. As a certified Reiki Master from the The International Center for Reiki Training ( ICRT) created by William Lee Rand, Thom has specialized in Reiki for animal healing with all species large and small. He has fine tuned his abilities with long distance healingas a result. Thom is also a medical intuitive healer and is able to scan pets and animals from a distance to help provide information for you and your pet's health care providers.

Thom works with many veterinarians, trainers and pet care professionals across the USA and Canada on a regular basis, both profess in ally and on a personal basis with their own pets.

Reiki Healing Abilities Opens Communication Channels

Reiki healing was also a breakthrough for his work in animal communicator abilities, as it helped developed clearer communication channels with all the species he has encountered. This was particularly true while he was studying photography in his professional artistic career, which included wild life photography. He discovered he could get wild life to pose and chat with him and get rare photographic gems.

The Greatest Teacher

Through the years his cat Nikki has also been a special teacher and healer. Through her wisdom, she has taught him numerous lessons how love transcends and heals all. She has returned (reincarnation) to him three times throughout his lifetime and is living proof that cats really do have nine lives. Here's just one recent story about Nikki..

Jonquil (who would eventually become his wife and business partner) and at the time had similar interests and needs for Animal Reiki healing skills for the animals in her life. As they began to work closely with big cats at various sanctuaries and facilities, Thom soon gained a few clients that had big cats and he was able to work and study closely with leopards, panthers, lions, tigers and even a few bears. Thom has even had very special close encounters with large animals like a real bear hug that he says he will never forget!

Thom and Jonquil eventually married with a lion best man and a tiger maid-of-honor behind them at the sanctuary where they volunteered. Working with various sanctuaries has afforded Thom the special opportunities of healing any species of animals, including numerous big cats, bears, elephants, orangutans, monkeys, chimps, birds, and many other exotic species with special needs.

Thom is one the few men in the world to practice as a professional animal communicator and Reiki Master who specializes in Animals and has been able to break down gender barriers with some animal companions who sometimes have a preference. He has studied to be a professional animal communicator under Teresa Wagner, internationally recognized as one of the finest teachers and communicators in the field and specializes in pet behavior problems and pet loss grief support.

Thom also follows and studies under the International Reiki Training Center, William Lee Rand for his Reiki training. Thom is also a member of The International Alliance for Animal Therapy and Healing

He can connect and participate with pet parents and their pets in an interactive live session from the comfort of their home. By holding animal communicator sessions over the phone or through e-mail, Thom reduces stress on your pet, instead of transporting your pet to someone's office or having a new person in your house. Long distance healing sessions are just as effective no matter how far or how close you are located to the healer.
