By offering our animals companions the healing of Reiki, we give something back to them for all the healing, laughter and love they give us. Animals also have a natural ability to give us Reiki too. Horses, dolphins, whales, and even cats are among some of the most skilled Reiki Masters in the animal kingdom. When you see injury victims and disabled patients respond instantly to an animal, such as swimming with dolphins, or being treaded/padded by a cat, thats the power of Reiki healing from our animal friends. It can make an otherwise silent child make sounds for the first time, and make limbs that have be motionless and numb move and respond to the gentle nudges of our animal friends.

Reiki is gentle and can be done hands on or from any distance. Your pet can be active or napping away in dreamland. Reiki has principles and symbols that automatically set the healing intent as positive, and does not rely on anyone's belief system to work. Finding the cause of an illness and pain is often done through Reiki scanning. Animals are usually very open to the healing energy of Reiki, many animals/pets give Reiki to their owners naturally on a daily basis. Using Reiki with them can accelerate their own healing process, easing pain, reducing stress and improving their quality of life. Animals love receiving the warm vibrations of Reiki energy and benefit greatly from it.

Reiki can be used for all types of illnesses, injuries in animals, especially soothing and comforting to animals that are nervous, fearful or in pain, or having difficulty recuperating from surgery. Also, animals too afraid to be touched, unable to be moved, aggressive, or wild, can be treated as effectively from a distance, "distant healing". The healer is a transmitter of healing energy to which animals respond amazingly well and faster than humans. Our pets live in the moment, they have no preconceived notions to get over. They understand healing energy and its benefits immediately, some will actually come looking for it.
